Instructions for Registering

Your registration form is now on the website.  There are 2 types of postings.  One is for the Board Schools and Private Schools.  The other one is for Home Schools.  Please make sure you are filling in the correct form.

Keep a copy for yourself so you have the information for September.  Make 2 copies of the Attendance Summary Form and bring them with you in September. There are 2 forms – one for Board Schools and Private Schools, one for Home Schools.  One form will be kept by us for proof of any changes in the numbers of students, chaperones, buses and cars based on your September class size.  This form is what your amount payable will be based on.  The 2nd form will be your invoice to take back to your school in order for the IPM to receive payment.  Both need to be signed by the registrar and the Lead Teacher.

We will have Registration in operation until June 30, 2012.  In order to make all final arrangements in preparation for the IPM during the summer months, we need to know the number of students, chaperones and vehicles that will be coming.  The bus companies also need time in order to work out the scheduling.

Registration is to be done on-line using the form.  Please do not fax information or give information over the phone.  It is important for us to keep accurate records that can be reproduced off the website for our paperwork at the site.  We will not be using a computer at the registration tent.

Attention Teachers re Ordering Buses to IPM

Some of the schools have started to have difficulty obtaining a bus to transport the school to the IPM.

If you are told that no buses are available, make sure you try more companies or change you bus times.  Some schools are using 2 companies because of the number of buses that are needed.  The bus company that seems to carry a large number of buses is Elliott Coach Lines.  Apparently they have 200 buses to access.

The problem has arisen due to the arrival and departure times that are being stated by the schools when contacting the dispatcher.  Elliott still has buses available if you fit within their timing.  You need to be willing to arrive around 9:30 at the Match and depart by 2:00.  That allows them to access more buses for your use and also fulfill their other daily trips. Eg The high schools have earlier start and dismissal times then elementary schools.

Here is a list of companies transporting in our area: Cherrey Bus Line  519 291-2054

Elliott Coach Lines (Elmira Division)  519 742-4404

Elmira Coach Lines (Breslau Division)  519 648-9548

Sharp Bus Lines  519 896-2822

Stock  519 742-6224

If you normally go through the dispatch assigned to your school, call that number.

Phone the dispatch first before you register, obtain your bus and then register.  Indicate on the registration form that the bus is booked for the day you have listed as your choice. Normally, the process is the other way around but we need to reverse it.

Please be aware that all Secondary Schools and the Public Elementary Schools of our Region have a PD Day scheduled on the Friday.  If you are available to come to the IPM on the Friday, your chances are higher for obtaining transportation.

The numbers you have filled out on the Registration Form and the Attendance Summary Form may differ and adjustments will be made at registration on the day of your visit.  You will be given an invoice stating the amount of payment that is due.  Please send you cheque for payment within 5 days of your visit.  Make the cheque payable to IPM 2012 and send to: Mrs. J Turner
 6 Peach Blossom Cres.,
 Kitchener, ON   N2E 3Z6

I will then be able to track all payments.
