Cookbook sales are picking up again as the match approaches. They are available at Elderberries and Cedar Creek gifts in Ayr, Barrie’s Asparagus, Oakridge Acres, Martin’s Family Fruit Farm, New Dundee Emporium, Bright Cheese and Butter, Meadow Acres, local Home Hardware stores and will be sold again at Herrles Market and Gillespie’s Garden.
We have been selling cookbooks and other souvenirs at various venues, including our local hospitals, Woolwich Home and Garden Show, Wellesley Home and Garden Show, New Dundee 24th of May Celebration, the Kitchener Market, and St. Jacobs Quilt and Fiber Show.
Plans are coming along well for the demonstrations in our Food Tent at the Match. You will recognize many names. To name a few you should know- Rose Murray, a local cookbook author who is often showing delicious recipes on CTV News at Noon ,Emily Richards, a local Home Economist who creates recipes for notable magazines, newspapers and companies, and Elizabeth Baird, former Food Director for Canadian Living Magazine. Anna Olson will be here too! – She is a professionally trained pastry chef who hosts her own show- Bake with Anna Olson on the Food Network. You will also see her on TV, doing advertising for Home Hardware. In my next update,I will post names of local chefs you will enjoy watching.
We are teaming up with The Kitchener Market on Thursday, September 20th on Diversity Day. Kim and Michele have some great ideas for their day at the match.
